2010-2011 Pi Kappa Alpha's
Dream Girl and Garnet Girls
A Pike Tradition
Since it's beginning, women have had a large place in Pi Kappa Alpha's History. It is often rummored that Junior Founder Theron Hall Rice became a part of Pi Kappa Alpha in part due to the recruitment efforts of a woman-aquintance of the fraternity. That strong tradition contiues today at the chapter level through the Pike Dreamgirl and Garnet Girls. These women, although not members of the fraternity, are given special treatment for their help and efforts to strengthen the chapter.
What is a Dream Girl?
The Pi Kappa Alpha Dream Girl is a young lady who lives by the same high ideals by which our brotherhood lives. She best represents, and unselfishly supports, the fraternity by her efforts in promoting Pi Kappa Alpha on campus. The number of Dream Girls chosen varies between chapters, but in the Eta Upsilon Chapter, there is only one lady selected a year to represent the chapter as their Dream Girl.
What is a Garnet Girl?
A Pi Kappa Alpha Garnet Girl is a young woman who also lives by the same high ideals of Pi Kappa Alpha. They too unselfishly support the fraternity by their efforts in promoting Pi Kappa Alpha on campus. These ladies go above and beyond the "average" female supporter of the fraternity and the Eta Upsilon chapter likes to recognize them for it.
The picture below shows the select few who the men of Pi Kappa Alpha Eta Upsilon Chapter have determined represent PIKE.

2010-2011 DREAM GIRL

Sarah Pagitt

Sarah Pagitt was born on March 23, 1989 in Dallas, Texas. She is majoring in English/Secondary Education at UT Arlington. She plans on teaching high school English for a few years before going back to school to earn her Masters in Education. Sarah is a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority and has held numerous offices, as well as being on the Panhellenic Executive Council. Nothing will ever top the moment I was announced Dream Girl. I have never felt so special than the moment the wonderful men of PIKE sang the Dream Girl song to me. Aside from my Dream Girl formal, the many road trips I have been on from Arlington to Austin and floating the river in San Marcos have created irreplaceable memories with my guys. I love the men of Pi Kappa Alpha and am honored to be their Dream Girl. I can’t wait for the next year and the amazing journey I will be embarking on with the best men on campus.
